From a young age, Alissa loved drawing and storytelling, filling pages with imagined adventures and creative explorations. While she pursued art in middle and high school, life eventually led her down a different path. She spent nearly a decade working in the dental field and raising her family, but something always felt missing.

A season of personal loss reminded Alissa how fragile and precious life truly is. Out of that time of grief came a turning point: she chose to stop waiting for "someday" and began learning how to create in a way she had always been drawn to: painting.

What started as simple brushstrokes quickly became something much deeper. Painting became her sanctuary; a space to release grief, explore who she was becoming, and rediscover joy. Over time, her practice evolved into a way of connecting with the universe, nature, and the rhythms of life. Her work reflects themes of transformation, resilience, and the beauty woven through life's delicate moments.

Now, Alissa draws inspiration from family adventures, nature walks, and hiking in the Utah mountains. Through her paintings, she hopes to inspire viewers to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the wonder that is always present in the world around them.
